Behavioral health teams
Multi-disciplinary school-based teams to maximize mental health resources and supports for students across levels of need
CCR co-developed a model to establish or build upon staff teaming structures which includes protocols to identify, assess, and refer students to appropriate interventions. Students' level of need is determined and they are given access to evidence-based mental health interventions, and discuss and track student behaviors and performance. The primary goal of the Behavioral Health Team is two-fold, a) to build the capacity of adults in the school building to address the needs of students, and b) to maximize resources and match the right students to the right interventions. The model uses data-informed decision-making and evaluation. Collaboration occurs across school, family, and community systems. CCR trains staff within a workshop model and provides on-site coaching.
