PUBLIC EDUCATION OF THE YEAR
Dr. Colleen Cicchetti is the founder and Executive Director of the Center for Childhood Resilience at Lurie Children's Hospital. She launched the Center in October 2015 to further the important work of the Community Linked Mental Health Services Program (CLMHSP)—an initiative she started a decade earlier to increase youth access to mental health services through providing training, consultation, education, and outreach. Dr. Cicchetti's leadership and vision has led to countless children understanding that a mental health condition does not define or limit them. NAMI Chicago celebrates her 25 year tenure at Lurie's Children Hospital and the impact she has had on children's mental health.
