Risking Connection in Faith Communities: A Training Curriculum for Faith Leaders Supporting Survivors of Trauma
In partnership with the Trauma-informed Congregation network, ReCAST is hosting a community workshop: Risking Connection in Faith Communities.
Risking Connection in Faith Communities is a 2-day workshop developed by the Sidran Institute to equip faith leaders (clergy and lay) to build trauma responsive congregations. This is an interfaith approach that draws from multiple religious traditions. Participants must attend both days.
The primary focus of the workshop will discuss how faith communities can help people recover from trauma, stress and adverse experiences through RICH® relationships—those hallmarked by Respect, Information Sharing, Connection, and Hope.
There is no fee for the workshop but registration is required. Participants will receive a light breakfast and lunch, a participant guide and the Risking Connection curriculum book. The class is limited to 20 people and will fill up, so you are encouraged to register early.
